Come out of the cold and into one of the many coffee shops located around the greater Fayetteville area. Coffee culture is big here, and each of our local cafés has its own unique environment and vibe. While out shopping or seeing the sights in Cumberland County, take a break from the frigid weather and pop into one of these shops for a freshly roasted cup of joe.
Cumberland Coffee Roasters, Hope Mills
Get out of your coffee comfort zone here and try a specialty latte, like the Snickerdoodle, or a specialty smoothie, like the Red Velvet. The menu at Cumberland Coffee Roasters offers excellent beans (roasted onsite), but also plenty to please even the non-coffee drinker. Another spot well worth a visit in Hope Mills is Detour Coffee House.
The Coffee Scene, Fayetteville
Experience coffee culture at its finest in the cozy environment of this shop, conveniently located down the street from Cross Creek Mall. The Coffee Scene hosts weekly events focused on the arts, such as “The Open Mic” on Monday nights, and their gelato is not to be missed. One more Fayetteville favorite is Reba’s Sweet Bean.
Village Coffee, Spring Lake
Create your own unique blend of coffee at this charming coffee house and bean supplier. Village Coffee will roast your blend, label the bag and even ship it, if necessary. Another great option in Spring Lake is The Morning Jump Coffee Company.
The Coffee Cup, Fayetteville
Take a break from shopping downtown and grab a cup o’ joe at this café, which is perfectly wedged between a wine shop and a bookstore. The Coffee Cup prides itself on its 100% organic, fair-trade, shade-grown coffee, and for good reason. Yet one more fantastic downtown Fayetteville option is Rude Awakening.
Cumberland County boasts many other coffee shops and restaurants, and information on those may be found on the Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau’s (FACVB) list of Restaurants. In addition, all you need to know about fun things to do here year-round may be found on the FACVB’s Calendar of Events.
