The
Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau aggressively
promotes and sells Fayetteville and Cumberland County as an attractive
destination site for meetings and visitors.
Our
staff provides all the services of a full-service convention
and visitors bureau. We also operate a Visitors Center with a
drive-through window. We are located just minutes from the heart
of downtown, at 245 Person Street. Signs from I-95 provide clear
directions to the Visitors Center and our offices. Hours: Mon.-Fri.
8am-5pm, Saturday 10am-4pm; 910-483-5311.
The
Bureau is a private, not-for-profit organization funded by a
sales occupancy tax. We assist leisure travelers, meeting planners,
group tour operators, media and military reunion planners. Our
staff serves as a liaison between visitors and the our local
hospitality industry.
Each
week more than 1,500 visitor guides are distributed to guests
and newcomers to the Fayetteville area. The Bureau must be doing
a good job: a recent visitor survey showed that 72 percent of
visitors would recommend the Fayetteville area to their friends.
