Visitors, please excuse Cumberland County's residents as we go a little bonkers over the inaugural season of the Fayetteville Woodpeckers, our new Minor League Baseball team. As I'm writing this blog, the City of Fayetteville and the Woodpeckers are making final preparations for the first-ever home game at our brand-new Segra Stadium tonight. I'll just say this: we're all living and breathing baseball right now, and nowhere is that more evident than in the Cool Spring Downtown District, where our new ballpark is located. I thought it would be a good idea to do a round-up of places downtown where you can park, shop, and eat "all things baseball" before or after you take in a Woodpeckers' game. Then it's time for "Play Ball!"
